Weather

The weather here is usually very unstable, so we recommend you to be prepared for everything. in one day you could enjoy a sunny and clear sky and a couple minutes later clouds and rain.

Summer: From december 21st to March 21st (average: 25ºC).

​

Winter: from June 21st to september 21st (average: 17ºC).

How to Move

On Rapa Nui you won’t find public transportation, but you can find taxis or you may think about renting a car, a motorbike o a bicycle.

Remember that to visit the park you’ll have to book a tour in which most of the cases, mobilization is included.

Currency

The official currency is the chilean peso (clp), but US dollars are also accepted in many hotels, handcraft stores and for tips. you can also use debit and credit cards almost everywhere. There are currently 2 atm’s, both in the banks located in hanga roa town.
